How do I become eligible for Medicare home health services?
If you have Medicare as primary health insurance, and meets the following requirements:   Your
homebound or confined to your home and you need skilled nursing care, physical therapy,
occupational therapy, or speech therapy. These services can be provided in your home even if you
have not been hospitalized.

What does Medicare pay for under the home health benefit?
•        Visits by a Nurse to give skilled care
•        Visits by a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Therapist
•        Part-time services of Home Health Aides
•        Medical supplies

What will Medicare not pay for under the home health benefit?
•        Full-time nursing care
•        Medications
•        Personal comfort or convenience items
•        Meals delivered to your home

What does Golden Heart Home Health Care do to ensure that I receive professional
care in my home?
We carefully screen all employees prior to placement in your home. All our trained staff have
completed the following:
•        a personal interview and skills checklist
•        verification of provided work and personal references
•        completion of agency safety and orientation training sessions
•        passed a criminal background check and license verification
In addition, we:
•        insure all employees with professional and general liability
•        supervise home care aides and nurses in your home on an ongoing basis
•        offer all employees continuing education courses


What will i do if i need help after visits?

anytime between 9 a.m. to  5:30 p.m. After office hours a nurse may answer your call ( subject to
availability ) or you could leave your message for non emergency issues, and they will call as soon
as they can , otherwise if it's life threatening, call 911 immediately.
